In my young days, that are so far behind me now, I loved constructing Airfix kits. I started with airplane kits but soon my interest moved towards model railways. The kits supplied by Airfix provided both rolling stock and buildings at pocket-money prices. I remember them with fondness, although the results were not always satisfactory due to my limited skills and patience.
I have now had the mad idea of recapturing my youth by building a model railway utilising as many of the kits as possible. Most of them have continued to be produced by Dapol and are readily available.
If you are interested please feel free to follow my progress with this somewhat crazy project.
