I started with airplane kits but soon my interest moved towards model railways.  The kits supplied by Airfix provided both rolling stock and buildings at pocket-money prices.  I remember them with fondness, although the results were not always satisfactory due to my limited skills and patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have now had the mad idea of recapturing my youth by building a model railway utilising as many of the kits as possible.
